Steve was employed by Northern Petrochemical in Morris, IL, and later transferred to Equistar in Pasadena, TX in 1989, where he lived the rest of his life.

Steve enjoyed visiting his family in Iowa and Minnesota and traveling with friends from time to time.

As an avid John Wayne fan, he enjoyed visiting Winterset, Iowa with his siblings to see John Wayne’s birthplace and touring the countryside of covered bridges. But he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren – near and far. He was never without a story involving his grandchildren.
