Worthina Ruth Fee, daughter of Alta Clark Fee (b. Oct 9, 1876 -d.June 18, 1966) and the late Daniel Webster Fee (b.Jan 15,1871-d.Dec 8, 1940), was
born November 7, 1907, in Marion county, near Knoxville, and died, June 18, 1956.

Early in life, Ruth confessed her faith with the Christian church of Knoxville and
later shared with it her talents.

Miss Fee's grade school work was completed in the Marion county rural schools and
continued to the Knoxville high school, grading with honors.

She enrolled in Drake university, Des Moines, and completed a four-year term in
fine arts receiving the degrees of Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Science in
Music, during which she was active in Sigma Alpha Iota, Sieve and Shears, various
clubs and choirs and class president during her senior year.

In the following few years with her teaching profession, she was as sociated with
Chautauqua and Radio work until she entered Columbia university, New York City,
for advanced study, but continued in the teaching profession on Long Island until
receiving her Master of Arts degree.

In 1954, Drake university again honored her upon records attained while attending
that university in the first initiation to their chapter of Morar Board.

Ruth's activities in the local community were many as well as the bookkeeping service,
regular classes of piano and voice pupils and assisting her mother in the management of the farm.

Surviving are her mother, one sister, Rena (b.May 23, 1909-d.Nov 13, 1987) (Mrs. Myron Welch), her foster brother,Charles Fee's
widow, Mrs. Peggy Hunt, Willowmac, Ind., a great aunt, Mrs. Molly Nace, of Harvey,
Iowa.

Funeral services were held from the First Christian church, Knoxville, at 2 p. m.,
Tuesday. Rev. E. Becker officiating. Interment in the family plot in Graceland
cemetery.
