A memorial mass was July 30 at St. Mary's Presentation Catholic Church, Deer Park, for area resident Ruth M. Barthole, 74, who died July 25 in Spokane.

Born Oct. 17, 1921, in Le Mars, Iowa, she moved to Deer Park on Sept. 1, 1979.

Mrs. Barthole, a licensed practical nurse, was a member of the Deer Park Eagles Aerie No. 3564 Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3067 Auxiliary and the Alter Society at St. Mary's Presentation Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ray, at the home; two daughters, Diane Kidder of Cocur d'Alene, and Kathy Holiday of Paptillion, Neb. ; one son, James Barthole of Spokane; three sisters, Irene Ross of Le mars, Dorothy Naryka of Sioux City, Iowa; and Lula Schultz of Boise, Idaho; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Private interment was a Greenwood Memorial Terrace, Spokane, with Heritage Funeral Home, Spokane, in charge of cremation arrangements.

The family request memorials be made to the St. Jude Shrine, Paca and Saratoga, Baltimore, MD 21201
