Robert Howard Heykens, a beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away at his residence on January 12, 2005. He was 80 years old.

A veteran of WWII and The Korean Conflict, Bob served as a member of the U.S. Navy and Air Force. While in Korea, he proudly worked as an OSI Agent. He graduated from the University of Florida and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church Parish.

Bob loved sports, he supported and coached for the parish and recreational girls softball/ basketball leagues and boys little league baseball teams. He was also a dedicated and loyal Florida Gator Fan.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sally Heykens, his children Steve Heykens, Robyn (Fred) Matthews, Leeann (Todd) Bradshaw, Nancy (Bob) Motherway, Mike (Karen) Heykens; grandchildren Tina, Lisa, Eric, Maranda, Taylor, Olivia, David, Meagan; a brother Henry (Ellen) Heykens and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

The visitation will take place on Friday, January 14, 2005 from 5-9 p.m. in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home. A Rosary will take place at 7 p.m. Friday evening.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Resurrection Catholic Church Saturday, January 15, 2005 at 10 a.m. with interment to following in Arlington Park Cemetery with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Community Hospice of N.E. Florida on Sunbeam Rd. or Resurrection Catholic Church Parish.
