Robert “Bob” Donald Buttrey, age 69, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Comfort House in Pella.
Bob was born on April 10, 1950 in Knoxville, Iowa, the son of Donald “Edgar” and Laura Belle “Pat” (Nichols) Buttrey. He attended Knoxville Schools and graduated from Knoxville High School, Class of 1968.
Bob’s occupations included horse shoeing, truck driving, farming, and being a school bus driver. He enjoyed horses and reading. Bob’s greatest joys were his daughter, Erika; and granddaughter, Ellivia.
Bob’s wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the V.F.W. in Knoxville from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Words of comfort will be given at 6:40 P.M. Burial will take place on a later date at Ruckman Cemetery.
Those left to cherish Bob’s memory include his daughter, Erika Buttrey of Knoxville; one granddaughter, Ellivia; one sister, Marta (Randy) Morse of Knoxville; and one brother, Bill (Deb) Buttrey of Knoxville.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Donald “Edgar” and Laura Belle “Pat” Buttrey.
Memorials may be given in Bob’s memory to his granddaughter, Ellivia.
