Retta Marie Kenney, daughter of William Hiram and Retta Mossie (Brady) Caulkins, were born April 18, 1908, near Columbia, in Lucas county and died at the Mater hospital, Knoxville, on April 20, 1932, aged 24 years and 2 days.

She graduated from the Knoxville high school, class of 1928 and taught in a school in Lucas county, for one year. She became converted to the Christian church during a revival which was conducted by Rev. W. H. Sandy.

She was married to Norris Kenney, Sept 8, 1931, at Unionville, Mo., and they had made their home on a farm in Marion county.

She had been ill for three weeks.

Surviving are her husband, father and mother, four sisters, Beulah, Ruth, Ellen and Mrs. Bertha Chambers. One brother, Clarence, and a sister, Grace, had preceded her in death.

The funeral services will be held at Englewood church at 3 o’clock Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J.B. Hockersmith.

Interment in Concord cemetery.
