Phillip Wayne Crook September 10, 1942 – December 24, 2023 Knoxville, Iowa
Phil Wayne Crook, age 81, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away December 24, 2023, at West Ridge Specialty Care in Knoxville.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Pierschbacher/Williams Funeral Home located at 702 E. Robinson St. in Knoxville. Following visitation, a graveside service will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials in Phil’s memory may be made in the care of his family to be designated at a later date.
Phillip Wayne Crook was born on September 10, 1942, in Knoxville, Iowa, the son of William and Alta (Pitt) Crook. He grew up in Knoxville and attended Knoxville Schools with the Class of 1962. Following high school, Phil became employed at Vermeer and worked as a welder for 29 years, until retiring. After retiring, he worked at Wal-Mart for several years.
Phil was united in marriage to Juanita Carter. They were blessed with four daughters, Michell, Christine, Melissa, and Stacey.
Phil enjoyed fishing, and making trips to Branson and Northern Iowa, and was fond of camping also. Phil loved life and was known to be a little ornery.His greatest love was his four girls and
spending time with his grandchildren.
Phil is survived by his daughters; Michell (Danny) Bender, Christine Shaw, Melissa Crook, and Stacey (Daniel) Torres; four grandchildren, Jordan Terrell, Danielle Mitchell, Charlie O’Riley, and Alex Gill. He is also survived by two great-granddaughters: Rowan and Raegan; and a sister; Ann Haberer.
Phil is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Connie Crook.
