Lynne Louise (Wetherbee) Macias passed away peacefully on December 21, 2023 due to complications with ovarian cancer
at the age of 66 in Kennewick, Washington.

Lynne is survived by her mother, Mary-Ann Wetherbee, her husband, Henry, and her sons, Mark, Jim, and Lou.
She is preceded in death by father, James Wetherbee and her sister, Susan Goodeaux.
Lynne was born in Marshall, Minnesota on May 18, 1957 to James and Mary-Ann Wetherbee.

She graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelors of Science degree in dental hygiene in 1979.
On May 26, 1979 she married Henry, a baseball player and avid spaghetti eater from California.

On October 28, 1986, July 12, 1988, and October 1, 1991, she welcomed her sons Mark, Jim and Lou, who became the best parts of her life.
Lynne later returned to school at Heritage University in 1997 to obtain her teaching license.
Lynne was a beloved teacher at various schools including Waterville Elementary (Waterville, Washington), Malian Elementary (Malian, Oregon),
White Bluffs Elementary (Richland, Washington), and Sacajawea Elementary (Richland, Washington).

Lynne was a devoted mother, avid road cycle rider, persistent gardener, recreational swimmer and dog lover.
On any given day above 50 degrees, Lynne could be found cycling the streets and bike paths around Richland, Washington with her husband.

In the summers she enjoyed gardening in her raised garden beds and grew an abundance of cucumbers and blackberries.
Outside of the garden, Lynne enjoyed spending the summer nights swimming laps, occasionally jumping off the diving board
and watching the family dogs play in the pool she and Henry put in the backyard. Lynne was a dedicated teacher. Lynne Wetherbee

Her passion for her profession could be seen and felt by her students and colleagues. She would consistently go the extra mile to ensure
her students were getting the best education possible. Lynne will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Viewings are scheduled from 3:00-5:00pm on Thursday, December 28, 2023 and 3:00-5:00pm on Friday, December 29, 2023 and Sunset Gardens in Richland, Washington.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 1:00pm on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Sunset Gardens in Richland, Washington with a reception to follow.
