Peggy (Philben) Manning, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday November 14, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones.
A celebration of life gathering, will be held Sunday, November 24th, from 11:00 until 3:00pm at thePine Knolls Golf Club in Knoxville.
Memorials may be made in care of Peggy’s family.
Peggy Ann Philben was born on November 2, 1948, in Neligh, Nebraska, to Michael and Patricia (Krause) Philben.
She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1967 and went on to earn her degree from Ellsworth Community College in 1969.
Throughout her life, Peggy called Minnesota and Iowa home, building lasting connections in both states.
Peggy was a vibrant and loving person who cherished her family, friends, and the simple pleasures of life.
Her warm and fun-loving personality made her someone you could count on for joy and laughter. Her unique traits, like her choice to never wear shoes,
and her love for being outdoors, highlighted her free-spirited nature.
Her commitment to family, the importance she placed on relationships, and her giving nature are qualities that made her unforgettable to those who knew her.
Survived by children: Lisa (Kirk) Thorsen, Krista (Jason) Specht, and Nick (Barbie) Kentros; grandchildren: Mallory, Mykaela, Marshall,
Owen, Olivia, Zoey, Sophie, Stella, and Audrina; step-father, Pat Alesandra; siblings: Mary Jo (Don) Noftsger, and Kerry (Judy) Philben;
sister and brother-in-laws: Sam Philben, Nan Philben, and Dan Dennison; first husband Paul Mallory; along with many nieces,
nephews, relatives, and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her second husband, PJ Manning; parents: Mike Philben and Patricia (Philben) Alessandra;
and siblings: Jim Philben, Greg Philben, Jana Dennison, Mike Philben, and Dan Philben.
May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do.
