Pauline (Line) McNeish was born November 15, 1910 in New Market, Iowa, the daughter of Wilford J. and Nona Bernice (Maddy) Line.

In 1916, Pauline’s family moved to the Knoxville area. Following graduation from
Knoxville High School, Pauline went to work as a secretary for the superintendent
of the Knoxville school system where she worked for 7 years. She then was employed
at Iowa Power and Light for 9 years.

On October 26, 1941, Pauline was united in marriage to Tom H. McNeish in Unionville,
Missouri. The couple always made Knoxville their home. Pauline worked at her brother,
Cliff’s, oil station for a few years and then went to work for the First United
Methodist Church in Knoxville. She retired in 1976. She was a member of the Marion
County Historical Society, the First United Methodist Church, and the U.M.W.

Pauline passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at the Griffin Nursing and Rehabilitation
Center at the age of 97 years, 3 months, and 2 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom, on July 16, 1985; brother,
Chester Line; sister, Frances Moon; and two sisters, Hazel and Ione, as children.

Those left to honor her memory include her brother, Charles Clifford Line, many
nieces, nephews, and other family members, and beloved friends.
