Services for Orel (Steele)Brent, 76, of Knoxville, who passed away March 17,1992 at Knoxville Area Community Hospital, were held March 20 at Evans-McCleery Funeral Home.
Burial was in Lincoln Cemetery.

Rev. George Yetter officiated. Music was provided by Steven, and Kathy Lamb.
Casketbearers were Dennis Harkin, Steven Lamb, Lew Brent, Robert Lamb, William Steele and Richard Sutherland.

Orel was born Nov. 29,1915 on her home farm in Marion County, the eldest daughter of Howard E. and Nora Sutherland Steele. She graduated from Knoxville High School.

She married Paul Brent Aug. 5, 1936. They lived on farms east of Pleasantville for several years before moving to Omaha, Neb. and to California where Orel was employed by the Northrup Aircraft Company. They moved back to Pleasantville in 1959. Orel has been a resident and employee of Griffin Nursing Center for 27 years, helping in the dining room and kitchen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, Jr., Quinton and Clifton.

She is survived by one brother, William J. of House Springs, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Redenbaugh of Spencer, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Lamb of Pleasantville and Mrs. Raymond (Marilyn) Lamb of Issaquah, Wash. and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Knoxville and Pleasantville Rescue Units.
