Myrtle Ann (Powers) Stevenson, 85, originally of Knoxville, passed away on March 8, 1992 at Hilltop Nursing Home in Kerrville, Texas.

Myrtle Ann Powers Stevenson was born January 3, 1907 on a farm south a Knoxville to Charles Emerson and Mary Margaret Morrison Powers.

She was married July 7, 1928 at Unionville, Mo. to Joseph Burton Stevenson. To this union two children were born, Dean and JoAnn.

She lived most of her life on the family farm 10 miles north of Knoxville, except for three years in Colorado. In 1984, they sold the farm and retired to Kerrville, Texas.

She taught a short time at Filmore School and belonged to the Daughters of Union Veterans, Royal Arch Widows and belonged to the First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son, Dean Stevenson and wife, Peggy, of lone, Wash.; and a daughter, Mrs. Dean (JoAnn) Wilson of Kerrville, Texas; Seven grandchildren including Mrs. Stephen (Brenda) Frost of Kerrville, and Mrs. James (Maryann)Champlin of Brady, Texas and 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Karr of Knoxville, and Mabel DeBont of Denver, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews.
