Services for Mildred H. (Clark) De Heus, 83, of Pella, who died Dec. 18, 1991 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, were held December 21 at Second Reformed Church, with the Rev. Norman Schouten officiating. Garden Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. De Heus was born Nov. 27, 1908, in Marion County near Harvey, the daughter of Samuel W. and Vivia Durham Clark
She grew up in the Knoxville-Harvey area and graduated from Knoxville High School.
On Dec. 15, 1930, she married Arie De Heus. She lived in the Knoxville area and had lived in Denver, Colo. for 32 years. For the past year and one half, she had lived in Pella.
She was a member of the Second Reformed Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1949; her parents; and two brothers, Morrison and Wilson.
She is survived by one son, Marvin of Walnut Creek, Calif.; one daughter, Vivian Van Maanen of Pella; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lloyd of Knoxville.
A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.
