Service for Helen Hendrickson, 84, of Colorado Springs and formerly of Knoxville, who passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs were held Dec. 17 at the Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.
Entombment was at the Memorial Garden in Colorado Springs.
Rev. James Smith of the First Presbyterian Church officiated at the service.
Mrs. Hendrickson was born July 27, 1907. Her parents were Leroy and Nora (Brees) Hays. She and her husband had lived in Colorado Springs since December of 1954.
She attended Central College in Pella and had taught school for a number of years.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Ladies’ Circle of the church.
She was a retired civilian employee of Ft. Carson, Colo. She had also worked at the Knoxville VAMC and the F.W. Woolworth Co. in Des Moines.
Mrs. Hendrickson was married June 6, 1942 in Raton, New Mexico, to Iliff Hendrickson who preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Eugene Hays and his wife Edith of Knoxville and a granddaughter, Deborah Hays of Riverdale Ill.
