Michael Lynn Harvey, 44, of 4417 S.W. Second St. died of cancer Monday, September 19,
1988 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Calvary
Reformed Church here. The burial will be in Graceland Cemetery at Knoxville.
Mr. Harvey was born in 1944 in Iowa the son of Lyle E. Harvey (1921–2003) and Marjorie Arlene Watkins (b.1921-d.1987) and lived in Knoxville prior to moving to Des Moines for 24 years.
He was a senior technician for Iowa Power and Light Co., a member of the Reformed church and Izaak Walton League, and an official at the Drake Relays.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene; a daughter, Tina Harvey of West Des Moines; a son, Patrick of San Antonio, Texas; his father, Lyle of Knoxville; and two sisters,
Claudia South of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Susan Poffenberger of Centerville.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at Southtown Funeral Home. Memorial contributions
may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
Burial in Graceland Cemetery Knoxville, Iowa.
