Services for Howard Worth Clark of Knoxville, who died Sept. 27, 1988, at Mercy medical Center in Des Moines, were held Sept 30 at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville.

The Rev. Wayne K. Hoehns officiated. Music was provided by Darlene Mooberry, organist and Jim Kidder, soloist.

Casketbearers were Donald Buyert, Mike Copple, Marion Reins, Jim Sevier and Gary Wallace. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery.
He was born Dec 22, 1916 in Knoxville. He was the son of Worth and Aurora Belie Inlow Clark.

On Sept 1, 1940, he married Gertie Buyert in Burlington. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Knoxville until his retirement. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, VFW 3519 and the Amateur Radio Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.

He is survived by his wife, Gertie; two sons, Harlan, of Knoxville, and Wayne of Sacramento, Cal; two daughters, Mary Galbraith of Olathe, Kan and Connie Vogel of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, six step grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren, and one brother, Donald Clark of Bellevue, Wash.
