Mary Kathleen Snow was born on March 13, 1936, in Knoxville, Iowa to Carroll and Antonia Snow. She entered into God’s presence Sunday, December 5, 2021, at the age of 85.
Mary is preceded in her death by her parents, her sister Ruth Walsh and brother Ted Snow, her daughter, Kathleen Bettis and son, Brian Bettis, and one grandson, Jeffrey Sandry.
Mary is survived by her son, Mark Rice (Sandy), and her daughters, Melinda Douthitt (Paul), Jennifer Kuhn (Chris), and Jacqueline Keller (Steven), 15 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Grandma Mary, as she was known to her grandchildren, expressed love with knitted and crocheted gifts, even up to the last month of her life, when her sight and fingers were failing her. She was a woman of die-hard determination, feisty independence, depth, and solitude.
She and her family are forever grateful for Jesus, who showered His love on her near the end of her days, calling her into His presence with dancing feet.
Visitation will be 1:00 PM before the memorial service at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Proctor Funeral Home.
