Martha Mae (Onstank) Jenkins was born August 24, 1930, in Knoxville, Iowa the daughter of Garret John Onstank and Dorothy Margaret (Clark) Onstank.

She was raised in Knoxville and graduated with the Knoxville High School Class of 1948. On September 21, 1958, Martha was united in marriage to Frank Jenkins in Knoxville, Iowa. Through the years, Martha had worked for Iowa Power & Light, Marion County Savings & Loan, and DeVore Motors, from which she retired.

In her spare time, she enjoyed horse shows, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and watching basketball. In fact, she liked sports of all kinds and was a previous recipient of the Melcher-Dallas Fan of the Year award.

Martha passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at the Pella Regional Health Center at the age of 83 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Virginia Onstank.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Frank of Knoxville; children: Julie (Jim) Jones of Lovilia and Jeff (Tammy) Jenkins of Knoxville; grandchildren, Colby and Colton Jones; twin sister, Maude (Bill) Roff of Knoxville and many other family members and friends.
