Marjory (Rees) Andrews, 83 of Knoxville, Iowa passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at the West Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center.

A memorial service for Marjory will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Knoxville – burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marjory Andrews Memorial Fund.

Marjory was born November 2, 1933, in Knoxville, Iowa the daughter of Carl and Frances (Rahlf) Rees.

On November 3, 1951, Marjory was united in marriage to Willis “Willy” Andrews and two years later, their daughter Cindi was born.

Marjory retired from the Marion County Courthouse as a clerk in the auditor’s office. She was an active member of the Iowa Preceptor Mu Sorority and had enjoyed volunteering at local sporting events and the hospital gift shop.

One of Marjory’s favorite past times was playing cards. She could play for hours at a time enjoying both the game and the conversations had at the table.

Marjory was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Willy; daughter Cindi; granddaughter Molly; siblings: Robert, Tommy, Claudean, and Paul, and her longtime partner, Jerry Harvey.

Those left to cherish Marjory’s memory include her grandson Ryan Jennings of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; granddaughter Amy Jennings & great-grandson Skyler Jennings of Monroe, Iowa; siblings: Nancy Good of Atlanta, Georgia & Richard Rees of Knoxville, Iowa and many other family members and friends.
