Marilyn Louise Burch was born on January 21, 1927 in Knoxville, Iowa the daughter
of Don Bucklew and Hallie (Mart) Bucklew.

She attended Rising Star Country School
and graduated from Knoxville High School with the Class of 1946. Marilyn joined
the First United Methodist Church and was baptized in April of 1942.

She was very
active in church life, serving and volunteering on many committees through the years.
She was also very active in the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 85, and was a member
since April of 1954. Marilyn was also a homemaker and had worked at Community National
Bank. She retired from the Knoxville V.A. Hospital food service department with
over 20 years of service.

Marilyn passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2005 at the
Iowa Methodist Medical enter, in Des Moines, at the age of 78 years and 30 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert in infancy; daughter,
Marsha Burch and a grandson, Jeff Low.

She is survived by two sons: John Burch of
Aurora, Colorado and Reg Burch of Ames; one daughter, Barbara Low of Des Moines;
sister, Pat Hockett of Ames, Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and many other
family members and friends. Eastern Star Service was held at the First United Methodist
Church on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. by the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 85.

Funeral Service were at the First United Methodist Church – Knoxville, Iowa on
Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Neil Montz, officiating.

"Hymn of Promise", "How Great Thou Art", "Just A Closer Walk With Thee".
