Kelly Marie Geery was born on February 12, 1986 in Colorado Springs, Colorado the daughter of Ronald Dean Geery and Tina Marie (Blevins) Geery.

Kelly was raised in Knoxville and attended the Knoxville School System. While in school she enjoyed being a cheerleader and dance class. She was a beautiful, kind-hearted and bubbly person with a love for kids and animals.

Her greatest love however was her family; she loved spending time with her parents, sister, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kelly was a deep-thinker and had a passion for writing poetry. She had two poems published and a third near publication. She also loved to go racing with her dad.

Kelly will be remembered by her parents as a ray of sunshine they called “Peanut” and by all her family and friends as a warm, compassionate and loving girl.

Kelly passed away on Monday, February 21, 2005 at her home at the age of 19 years and 9 days. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Keith Geery, Sr. and her maternal grandmother, Treva Blevins.

Those left to cherish her Memory include her parents, Ron and Tina of Knoxville; sister, Treva of Knoxville; brother, Shawn James of Newton; paternal grandmother, Wilma Geery of Knoxville and paternal great-grandparents, Bonnie and Orbra Geery of Harvey and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Celebration of Life Service were held at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville, Iowa on Friday, February 25, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike Miller, officiating
