Allie Margeurite (Brubaker) Morgan was born on July 17, 1917, in Knoxville, the daughter of Clyde Brubaker and Hazel (Brooks) Brubaker.
Margeurite graduated from Knoxville High School and then worked at Boylan’s CafĂ©.
On June 23, 1937, she was united in marriage to Earl Morgan in Knoxville. To this union, three children were born: Evelyn, J.P., and Marsha.
The couple owned and operated Morgan Cabinet Supply until retirement. Margeurite kept the books, met with clients, and drew kitchen designs to scale, while Earl took care of the construction and installation. Margeurite taught Sunday School at the Methodist Church for many years and was an active leader in the cub scouts, girl scouts, and brownies.
She also enjoyed gardening and reading. She was the type of person who always put everyone ahead of herself. Margeurite died on December 1, 2007. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, J.C. Brubaker; a ‘sister, Doris Jean Patterson, and her son, John Paul “J.P.” Morgan.
Those left to honor her memory include her loving husband of 70 years, Earl; daughter, Evelyn Morgan (Jim Hamilton), daughter-in-law, Suzy Morgan and her children, Drew and Natalie; daughter, Marsha Lee and her children, Diana (Ross) Dennison and Brian (Kandi) Lee and their children, Jaden, Branden and Ryan and her sister, Marilyn Brubaker Grosshauser (Richard) of Paullina.
A Funeral Service was held at Bybee and Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, with Swann Juline, officiating.
Interment was in Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Knoxville Fire & Rescue Units or the Knoxville Dollars for Scholars.
