Lyle E. Brooks was born on Jan. 12, 1938, in Knoxville to J. Will and Dorothy Rosenberg Brooks.
He was self-employed in the advertising business and lived in Orland Park,
Ill. Lyle died suddenly, on Sept. 26, 2005, at Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights, Ill. At the age of 67.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his fond sister, the late Betty Mitchell of Knoxville.
Survivors include his wife Judith A. (Lutger) Brooks of Orland Park, Ill.; Fond brother of Jay (Joni); Loving father of Gina L. (Richard) Robuck and Susan T. Brooks; and son, Steven Brooks; Dear stepfather of three stepsons, John R. (Karen) Capodice, Brian (Shawn) Capodice and Anthony (Eileen) Capodice; a stepdaughter, Julie L. Capodice; Dear grandfather of Zackary, Isabel, and Alexa Robuck and step-grandfather of Madison, Niko, Kaylee, Kevin, and Kyle.
Funeral services were held on Sept. 30 at Colonial Chapel in Orland Park, Ill. With Rev. Ronald Ovitt officiating.
Interment was private.
Visitation Thursday 3 – 9 pm. Funeral service Friday at 10:00 am at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park.
