Funeral services for Leo (Jiggs) Hegwood, who died June
15 at a Wilmington (Del) Hospital, were held there with burial in Memorial Gardens at Wilmington.
The son of Jess and Gertrudge Hegwood, he was born March 14, 1902 at Coalridge.
For several years he was employed at the Knoxville VA Hospital, then transferred to the Veterans Hospital at Sturgis, S.D., and upon retiring moved to Wilmington and later to Pennsville, N.J. In 1928, he was united in marriage to Wanita Pope.
Surviving are his wife; son Robert Drew and grandson of Wilmington; three brothers, Bruce Hegwood of Knoxville, John and Delmer of Hastings, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Leah) Karr, Knoxville, and Mrs. Frederick (Marie) Metcalf of Pleasantville
