The family of Kenneth Boyd Morgan, with the cooperation of Vermeer Mfg., will hold a memorial
service for Ken on Saturday, February 10, 2001, at 1:00 p.m. in the Vermeer Pavilion,
2110 Vermeer Road East, Pella, IA.
Ken, 57, passed away at his home in Olathe, Kan.
on Saturday, December 16, 2000 after a courageous two year battle with cancer.
Ken
was born on September 13, 1943, in Oskaloosa, and had lived in Olathe for the past
two years after living in Pella for most of his life.
He was employed by Vermeer
Manufacturing Co. in Pella for the past 33 years in various managerial capacities,
most recently as regional sales manager.
He was a member and held several offices
in the Masonic Lodge in Tracy. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church
in Olathe.
He is survived by his wife, Chris; sons, Daniel of Oskaloosa and David
of Grand Prairie, Texas; his mother, Wilma Pieratt Mason of Russell, Iowa; sister, Barbara
Crozier, Knoxville, Iowa; two grandsons; and four stepdaughters, Kelly Belk, Kansas City, Mo., Tracy Wiedt, Atlanta, and Erin Wiedt and Lauren Wiedt, both of the home; and two grandsons.
Memorials may be made
to the Habitat for Humanity or Hospice of Olathe Medical Center. Cremation. This will be a
celebration and remembrance of Ken's life!
