Funeral Services for Kenneth John Locke, born October 21, 1946, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Locke, who died on the evening of October 21, 1964, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, was held at St. Anthony Parish Hall, Saturday morning with interment in Graceland Cemetery.

Locke died on his eighteenth birthday following an operation the night of October 16 for the removal of a blood clot under the membranes which cover the brain. He collapsed late in the Knoxville-Pella football game that same evening.

A senior at Knoxville High, he was active in athletics and other student activities.

He earned football letters as a sophomore and junior, baseball letters for three years, golf letters for two years, and track as a freshman.

He was also on the varsity basketball traveling squad for two seasons.
He was a class officer as a sophomore and currently was a member of
the Student Council and President of the Panther Club.

Surviving is one sister, Janice (Richard) Welch, and a nephew, Brian Welch.
