Kenneth Lee Fletcher, son of John William and Grace DeYarmon Fletcher, was born October 1, 1902 in Lucas county, near Chariton, Ia. He died at 11:50 o'clock Saturday night, May 27, at the age of 41 years 7 months and 26 days. He spent the early years of his life on the farm in Lucas and Marion counties and graduated with the Knoxville high school class of 1923.
In early manhood he was baptized in the Christian church. He moved to Des Mines in 1924, where he lived until the time of his death. In 1934 he was married to Norma Gail Mills, and to this union was born one daughter, Judith Ann.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his widow and little daughter, his father, John William Fletcher of Knoxville and three sisters, Mrs. Vera Brawner of Wilcox, Nebr,; Mrs Zelma Harkin of Sacramento, Calif., and Miriam Fletcher of Knoxville, besides other relatives and friends.
Services were held from the Hamilton Funeral Home, Wednesday, May 31, at 1:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. L.J. Carlson, pastor of the Pentecostal Apostolic Faith Assembly church.
Interment was in Laurel Hill cemetery.
