Kay Lynn Trueblood, 54, of Edgewater, CO, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2018, with her beloved friend Tralawney (Galvin) Trueblood at her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Jo Ann (Luscri) Trueblood and her beloved feline friend Cami.

Kay was born, January 11, 1964, and grew up in Knoxville, IA and was a cheerleader, wannabe trumpet player, but overall a social butterfly with many friends, concentrating on pulling off shenanigans passed down from her two older siblings.

Kay attended the University of Iowa after high school majoring in Marketing. She went on to become employed in Denver, CO where she spent most of her adult life. She did purchase and fix up a home in Knoxville not far from the downtown square which she rented a room and occasionally stayed for visits home.

Kay will be remembered for her natural beauty, both inside and out and her strong will and determination. She had many many friends and will be sorely missed.

Kay is survived by her sister Dr. Joy (Trueblood) and Roger Hartnett of West Des Moines, Nicholas Jordan, Joy’s son of Des Moines, Luke and Cole Hartnett, her step-nephews, Glenn, Tralawney and their daughter Callarisse Trueblood of Cedar Rapids, and innumerable close family members and friends.

Per Kay’s wishes, no funeral services are planned. Any memorial contributions should be made to charities Kay supported such as the Animal Rescue League or Humane Society.
