Services for Justine (Toy) Goodnight, 65, of Knoxville, who passed away March 5, 1991,
were held March 8 at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Williams Funeral Home was in charge
of the arrangements. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery. Rev. Leon Hodges officiated
at the services. Music was provided by organist Cindy Todd, vocalist Barbara Marvelli
and accompanist Darlene Mooberry. Pallbearers were Greg Buban, Randy Douglas, Terry
Edwards, Marion Kennedy, Chris Legvold and Craig Scott. Justine Goodnight was born
on April 2, 1925 in Knoxville.

She was the daughter of Harry Edward and Helen Amanda
Miller Toy. She was one of three children born to this union. Justine had attended
elementary school for awhile in Keokuk, but returned and graduated from Knoxville
High School. She was a great booster of Knoxville athletics and attended many different
activities, especially those in which her family was competing.

Justine had worked
for over 20 years at the Veterans Hospital in Knoxville as a pharmacy technician.
She retired in 1977. Justine was involved in many activities and was an especially
avid Hawkeye fan. She had attended both the Rose Bowl and the Gator Bowl. She also
enjoyed the sprint car races here in Knoxville and had attended them since they
started. She also enjoyed the quieter moments of life and enjoyed fishing and camping
with Tom and her grandchildren.

Justine's happier moments in life were spent with
her family and her many friends. She was also active in the Democratic party and
was a former co-chairperson of the Marion County Democrats.

Those family members
surviving her are her husband Tom of Knoxville and two sons, Rick and his wife Jona
Roberts of Knoxville and Randy and his wife Lori Roberts of Knoxville; three grandchildren;
her brother Jay and his wife Gloria Miles of Knoxville; her sister, Betty Emerson
also of Knoxville. Justine also had many friends who will greatly miss her.
