Judy Kay (Pearson) Chambers – Rees was born on August 4, 1944 in Knoxville, Iowa. She was the
daughter of Grace Juanita Watson and Everett Andy Pearson. Judy graduated from Knoxville
High School in 1963.
On November 10, 1979 she was united in marriage to Ronald Dee Rees at The First
United Methodist Church in Knoxville. Judy was employed for many years at the 3-M
Company in Knoxville. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Knoxville
and the 3-M Club. Judy was a member and past president of the Xi Sigma Chapter of
Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Judy was a people person. She enjoyed visiting and joking with friends and relatives.
She held a special place in her heart for she and Ron’s children, especially her
grandson, Grant. Judy also liked to spend time shopping and traveling.
Judy passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2001 at the Pella regional Hospital at
the age of 57 years, 3 months and 2 days.
Preceding her in death were her parents; Everett on May 3, 1970 and Grace on November
10,1996; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dorothy Mae Rees and Donald Dee Rees.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Dee Rees of Knoxville, three daughters; Cindy
Kay Chambers of Venice, CA; Candy Ray Chambers of Leavenworth, KS; Dee Ann Rees
Bradshaw and her husband, Chad, of Ankeny; one son, Ronald Scott Rees of Ingleside,
IL; Grant Everett-Mason Chambers of Leavenworth, KS as well as other relatives and
friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 10, 2001 at Williams Funeral Home
at 2:00 pm with Rev. Kathy Sides officiating. Interment was in the Graceland Cemetery
in Knoxville. Organ music was provided by Cindy Todd. The musical selection was
“Amazing Grace”. Casket bearers were Jimmy Beary, Steve Bellon, Gary DeMaria, Bill
LaHue, Mark Jerkins and Frank Schurman.
Arrangements were handled by Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville
