Funeral services for Juanita Marie Crook, 58, of Flagler, who died on Wednesday,
June 6, 2001, at her home, was held on Saturday, June 9, at First Assembly of God Church in Knoxville.
Pastor Darlene Mooberry officiated at the services. Music was provided by Pauline Pitt, organist, and David Jordan, vocalist. Interment was at
Greenwood Cemetery in rural Marion County. The casket bearers were Daniel and Gary Bender, David and Delmer Carter, Mike Carter, Jr.,
Michell Crook, Jim Mitchell, Robert Peterson, and Jeff Tonelli.
Juanita was born on November 9, 1942, in Knoxville. She was the daughter of Bessie (Betty) Willetta Harrison and Delmer Lewis Carter.
She attended and graduated from Knoxville High School, with the Class of 1961.
She was married to Phillip Crook for several years. She was a homemaker for many years while raising four daughters.
Later she became employed at the Westridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Knoxville. She worked there
in housekeeping for over 15 years.
Juanita was a lifelong resident of the Knoxville area. Her family was very important to her.
She enjoyed reading, making candles, and gardening.
She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by her father and infant brother.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Carter of Knoxville; four daughters, Michell Crook and her companion,
Dan Bender, Christine Crook, Melissa Crook, and Stacey Crook all of Knoxville; three
grandchildren; a brother, Michael Carter of Knob Noster, Mo.; two sisters and brothers-in-law,
Patty and Larry Peterson of Des Moines and Debbie and Albert Bender of Knoxville;
former husband; Phillip Crook of Knoxville; as well as other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to her children. Arrangements were made by Williams Funeral Home.
