Joann M. (Grabow) Bailey, 78, passed away on February 25, 2009 after a short battle with
cancer.
She was born on November 17, 1930 to Lucille and Ralph Grabow in Woodburn,
IA and graduated from Knoxville High School.
Joann worked at Rainbow Recovery Centers
assisting in establishing the Recovery Program for Chemically Dependent Women and
their children until 2003, when health problems made her unable to work. In 2002
the Recovery Center was named the Joann Bailey House in honor of her many years
of dedicated work in the field of Addiction and Chemical Dependency. She attended
three to four 12-step meetings a week.
Joann will be missed by her sons, Dennis
(Sylvia) Bailey of Beaufort, SC., and Ronald (Lillian) Bailey of Columbiana, OH.;
grandsons, Stephen (Jacquelin) Bailey of Columbiana, OH., John (Delia) Bailey of
California., Joe Bailey of Maine, Ronald Bailey Jr. of Salem, OH., and Sean (Des) Bailey of Salem, OH.; great-grandchildren, Gracie and Ellie of South Carolina and
Jack Bailey of Salem, OH.; brother, Charlie Grabow of California; and nephews, Donnie
and Jerry of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Lucy
