Services James Stanley Heaton, 41, of Knoxville, who died Thursday, May 17 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, were held May 21 at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville. Interment was held in Graceland Cemetery. Rev. M.H. Moobery officiated at the services.

Music was provided by Darlene Moobery, organist. Pallbearers were: Gregory Fee, Mike Kauzlarich, Rick Poston, Charles Wayne Smith, David Lee Heaton, Tony Kauzlarich, Eugene Stevens and Tom Smith.

Mr. Heaton was born on March 23, 1943 in Knoxville, the son of William and Delta Jones Heaton. He was preceded in death by his father and an infant son.

He is survived by two sons, Bryon and Brad Heaton. Also, an adopted daughter, Vicky Brisset of St. Joseph, Mo.; his mother, Mrs. Delta Heaton of Knoxville, three brothers, Donald Heaton, Jack Heaton, both of Knoxville and David Heaton of Melcher; five sisters, Mrs. Emil (Norma) Kauzlarich, Mrs. Leo (Bonnie) Cowman, Mrs. Howard (Shirley) Gullion all of Knoxville; Mrs. Ed (Peg) Finnested of Story City, Iowa; Mrs. Lester Dale (Carolyn) Fee of Eddyville, Iowa; two grandsons and other relatives.

A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
