Services for Mrs. Harry (Jessie) DeHaan, who died March 28, 1981, were held March 31 at Petersen Funeral Home, Forest City, Iowa.
Interment was in Oakland Cemetery, Forest City.
Rev. Ole Winter officiated at the services. Pallbearers were James Anderson, Thomas Anderson, Steve DeHaan, Tom McNeish, Wyatt Welch and Raymond Woodle. Honorary pallbearers were Bonnie Loynachan, June McCarthy, Pauline McNeish, Nell Welch and Cathryn Woodle.
Mrs. DeHaan was born in Knoxville on November 28, 1903, the daughter of James and Martha (Davison) Anderson.
She attended school in Knoxville, graduating in 1923 from Knoxville High School.
She was empolyed by an oil company in Knoxville which was acquired by Mobile Oil
Co. In 1937 she moved to Des Moines where she worked for Mobile Oil Co. and a PBX operator until her retirement in 1958.
She was married to Harry DeHaan on October 25, 1947 in Kansas City, Mo. In 1958 the couple moved to Oskaloosa.
In 1974 they moved to Fertile. Since 1976 she has resided in nursing homes in Forest City and Osage.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Walter Anderson.
She is survived by her husband, Harry, of Forest City, a stepdaughter Mrs. A.L. (Genevieve) Heeren of Forest City; two stepsons, Donald R. DeHaan of Hawarden, Iowa and Benjamin F. DeHaan of Baudette, Minn., 11 step-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren and two brothers, Ray Anderson of Knoxville and Clark Anderson of Columbia, Iowa.
