Jerry Dean Graham was born April 12, 1937, in rural Marion County, Iowa. He was one of two sons born to Gladys Marie Cadwallader and Albert Hiram Graham.

Jerry graduated from Knoxville High School in 1955. While serving in the US Army in Heidelberg, Germany, Jerry met and married Karin Edith Prior on June 2, 1959. To this union, three children were born.

Jerry was discharged to the Iowa Army National Guard where he completed over 11 years of service. After his discharge, Jerry worked for over 30 years in accounting at the V.A. Medical Center in Knoxville before retiring in 1994.

Jerry was a member of the New Covenant Church in Knoxville. He and Karin attended
flea markets; buying and selling for many years. In recent years Jerry also sold
online. They also enjoyed traveling all over Europe and the US. When the kids were
young, the family camped.

Jerry always told his family that he “Wanted to see it
all”. Jerry was an active and long-time member of the Marion County Historical Society.
After retirement, Jerry became active in the adult volunteer program at East Elementary
School. He worked one-on-one with students on math and reading skills.

Jerry Graham passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2009, at the age of 71 years, 10
months and 3 days.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Karin Graham of Knoxville; 1 son, Brian (Tressa) Graham
of Fairfield; 2 daughters, Kristy Barnhart of Platte City, MO and Conny Fiala of is survived by his parents; two sisters Lynda and Cheryl, at home; and grandparentsJerry Graham
Casselberry, FL; 5 grandchildren and 1 brother, Larry Graham of Mansfield, MO.

Services for Mr. Graham were held on Thursday, February 19, 2009, at New Covenant Church with Pastor Ethan Book officiating. The burial was in Graceland Cemetery.
