Barbara Jeaninne (Pence) Tucker was born on April 22, 1929, in Carroll to Ralph D. and Opal M. (Pine) Pence.

In 1931 her parents moved to Knoxville when her father was offered a job at the V.A. Hospital. Jeaninne would spend the rest of her life in Knoxville.

After graduating from Knoxville High School in 1947, she worked for Collins Hospital. She worked there for almost a year prior to her marriage. Jeaninne married Thomas L. Tucker on May, 5, 1948.

Besides being a mother and housewife, Jeaninne was the owner and manager of the Fabric Care Center Laundromat. Jeaninne was a member of the First United Methodist Church as well as the United Methodist Women. She was also active in P.E.O. the Mentor Club and the Laureatte Alpha Kappa Sorority.

She was an avid collector of bells, gathering a beautiful collection of 200-300 bells.

Jeaninne also enjoyed trips to Branson, shopping and eating out. She was very proud
of her family and the home she and Tom lived in since 1951.

She passed away on December 15, 2006.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandchildren, Rhiannon (16) and Tim (31). Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Thomas; sons, Don L. (Cheryl) of Knoxville and John T. of Monticello; mother, Opal Pence; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

She made many good friends in life, especially while at the laundromat and her various organizations.
Funeral services were held on Dec. 19 at Bybee and Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Neil Montz officiating. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery.
