Her oils of the Rocky Mountains inspired her grandchildren and others and are cherished family gifts. They also grace homes and businesses throughout the Midwest. She painted hundreds of works before losing her eyesight 25 years ago.
She also gifted the family with crochet and knit creations blankets, wearables, and decorations. She loved her work as a nurse for nearly four decades. She cared for many sick and injured people, including motorcycle crash victims.
Her pseudonym for motorcycles became “murdercycles.” Even though she preferred Disney-world, Janetta accompanied her husband on annual trips to Mexico, where friendships with other Witness families grew over time.
Her granddaughter, Anna, accompanied them on their month-long trip in 1988; her first trip to Mexico.
Janetta attended the Mesa Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Pueblo, Cob. until failing health required her to join her daughter, Pam in Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years; her sons, Walter Ray Youtsey, and Thomas Harold Youtsey; and great-grandson, Caleb Lee Adkison.
