James Kipper “Kip” Jones age 56, of Knoxville passed away Thursday morning, December
6, 2012, at His residence in Knoxville, Iowa.
James was born in Knoxville on August 13, 1956, to James B. and Charlotte Rae Jones.
He grew up in Knoxville and attended Knoxville High School.
After high school Kip worked mainly in construction. He enjoyed his family especially
spending time with his grandchildren.
Kip is survived by his lifelong companion Rhonda Hammonds of Knoxville; his son,
Logan Jones and wife Ashlea of Des Moines; two daughters, Alicia Robinson and husband
Dean and Holly Beck and husband James all of Knoxville; and seven grandchildren,
Gavin, Alexis, Trevon, Kaiden, Kael, Katelynn, and Natalie.
He is also survived by his father Jim Jones and wife Peg of Pershing; one brother,
Kyle Jones of Knoxville; two step brothers, Robbie Gray of Newton and Todd Gray
of Newton; one step sister, Becky Hall of West Olive Michigan; and many aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother Charlotte Jones and one brother in infancy
Christopher Jones; and one granddaughter, Brittney.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 10,
2012, at Graceland Cemetery of Knoxville. Pastor Bruce Rietveld officiating.
