Funeral services for lone (Risewick) Postma, 102, of Prairie City, formerly of Monroe, who
died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at Clearview Manor in Prairie City, were held Wednesday,
Feb. 13, at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe. Pastor Harold Koughn of Monroe
United Methodist Church officiated at the services. Interment was in Silent City
Cemetery in Monroe.
She was born Jan. 18, 1900, in Knoxville. She was the daughter of Herve and Alice
(Fomerod) Risewick. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1920.
She married Richard E. Postma on Dec. 30, 1920, in Knoxville. She had lived in Newton,
Knoxville, Otley, Pella, Monroe and Arizona. In 1991, she moved to Clearview Manor
in Prairie City.
She was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church and attended Tools Chapel
on the Draper Road for a number of years. She enjoyed traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Harold; and four siblings.
She is survived by a son, Hubert H. Postma of Pella; two daughters, Alice Kaldenberg
of Pella and Darlene Stewart of Monroe; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made the the Clearview Manor activity fund.
