Mamie Inez Wilson, daughter of E. C. and Effie Wilson, was born at Floris, IA., Sept. 29, 1900, and died at her home in Knoxville, Ia., July 23, 1927, being at the time of her death aged 26 years, 9 months and 24 days.

During her early girlhood she lived with her parents at Prairie City, Ia., where she attended school, and united with the christian church of that city at the age of 11 years, and later on moving to Knoxville, became a member of the Christian church of Knoxville, Ia.

She came to Knoxville with her parents, where she attended school and graduated from the Knoxville high school, with the class of 1919, and was a member of the girls' band and later did chautauqua work.

On Aug. 7, 1919, she was united in marriage to O.L. Dixon, of Knoxville, Iowa , where they have made their home.

As a girl she was kind hearted and had a great circle of friends, and after her marriage she gave herself completely to her home life, and while not active in the church she ever kept faith with the church and always held high christian ideals in her home, in the church, and with her family and friends.

Her baby son, Jack Junior, died at birth, and preceded his mother in death about two hours.

She gave her life to her home, and leaves to mourn her death her loving husband, O.L. Dixon, and her daughter, little Betty Lee Dixon, aged 6 years; her great number of relatives and a wide circle of kind and loving friends.

Funeral services were held at the home, 1509 Marion Street, Monday, July 25, at 3 p.m., Rev. Lew C. Harris officiating. Burial at Graceland.
