Funeral services for Helen Colene (Beaver) Kendrick, 65, of Knoxville, who died April 8, 1995, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, were held April 11, 1995, at Bybee and Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville.
Burial was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. The Rev. Aaron McCombs officiated at the services. Music was provided by James Kidder, organist, and Jacqueline Johnson, soloist. Pallbearers were Dave Evans, Les Beaver, Ronald Hall, Dave Hukill, Elmer Pearson, and Darrel Ohnemus.
Colene was born January 10, 1930, in Marion County, the daughter of Walter G. and Ruth Nicholson Beaver.
She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1947.
She was united in marriage to Donald Kendrick on February 8, 1948, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, and the couple lived in Davenport for three years, then returned to Knoxville. She was a member of the Christian Church of Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; two daughters, Barbara Hukill and Deborah Evans, both of Des Moines; a son, Dennis Kendrick, of Knoxville; two brothers, Harold Beaver of Knoxville, and Herbert Beaver of Bowie, Md.; one sister, Dorothy Beaver of Knoxville; and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
