Services for Harold William "Pete" Worstell, who died Nov. 12, 1962 at Knoxville Area Community Hospital, were held Nov. 27 at Williams Funeral Home.
Interment was in Leon Cemetery, Leon, Ia.

Rev. K. Wayne Hoehns officiated at the services. Mr. Worstell was born March 5, 1906 in Knoxville, the son of J.W. and Ella Eshick Worstell.

He graduated from the Knoxville School system and attended Iowa State University where he received his engineering degree.

He was married to June Stone on Sept. 14, 1947.

He was an engineer for the Iowa State Highway Commission secondary roads department for 22 years until his retirement in 1971. He lived in Nevada, Ia. from 1948 until his retirement when he moved back to his home place in Knoxville.

He served six years in World War II and was assigned to the China, Burma, India Theater as an Airport Engineer. While there he was promoted to Major.

He was a member of the American Legion, Baty Tucker Post 268; a fifty year member of the Masonic Lodge No. 91 AF & AW Corydon, Iowa and a lifemember of the First United Methodist Church, Knoxville.

He is survived by his wife, June; three nephews and three neices.

Memorials may be made to the Heart Association or the Cancer Fund.
