Harold Glenn08/20/1954
Harold A. Glenn, only son of Mr. and Mrs Jesse R. Glenn, was born seven miles south
of Knoxville, Marion County, Iowa, May 7, 1916. He passed from this life Aug. 20,
1954, at Veterans Hospit al in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 38 years, 3 months
and 13 days.

He was united in marriage to Ethel Nelson, Nov. 12, 1948. To this union two children
were born.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1919.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and two daughters, Karen 44 and Kathryn
1, of Knoxville; also his mother, Mrs Vera Glenn, Knoxville; his aged grandparents,
Mr and Mrs T. J. Glenn, Des Moines; and Mrs Charles Neifert, Bussey; other relatives
and many friends.

Harold has been a member of the First Methodist Church in Knox ville, since 1928.
Also a member of the American Legion and Odd Fellows Lodge. He was very active in
Bay Scout work.

Harold served his country during Wand War II serving in the Army Air Corps from
Sept. 19, 1942, to May 9, 1946. He attended Knoxville grades and high school, graduating
May 18, 1933.

He worked in the garage for Bailey and Kingma during his four years of high school.
Then at Collins Motor Co. from 1922 until entering the service in 1942. Upon returning
in 1946 he bought half interest in Collins Motor Co. remaining in business until
spring of 1953, when he bought a farm three miles south of Knoxville, where he resided
with his family until his death.

Services were held at First Methodist Church on Monday, Aug. 23, 1954, at 3 p.m.
conducted by Rev M. D. Summerbell, assisted by Paul M. Hann, D.D.

Interment in Graceland Cemetery.
