Services for Gladys Fay (Jones) Ball, 88, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Knoxville, who
died October 25, were held October 27, 1996, at Harwood United Methodist Church
in Albuquerque. Burial was at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque.

Pastor Linda
Shore-Mizell officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Kenneth Ball, Douglas
Ball, Zachary Ball, Nelson Ball, Tom Rakes, and Roy Ball.

Gladys was born April 3, 1908, in Knoxville, the daughter of Frederick Earl and
Edna Alice Darnell Jones. She graduated from Knoxville High School as Valedictorian.

She major in English ltterature at the University of New Mexico,; graduating in
1929, and taught in the Albuquerque Public Schools. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Myrl W. Ball in 1969; and a daughter, Ann Marie Ball in 1980.

She is survived by two daughters, Alice Rakes of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Marion
Ball of Albuquerque; four sons, Roy, Nelson, and Douglas, all of Albuquerque, and
Kenneth of Conifer, Colo.; and five grandchildren.
