Forest Allyne Moore passed away on October 22, 2003. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 1 at Caldwell-Raddatz Urbandale Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the time of services. Following services burial will be at the Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville, IA.

Forest was born on Jun. 30, 1915, raised in Knoxville, and lived in Des Moines and Hartford. He was a maintenance engineer at Broadlawns Hospital for several years. He was a member of the Iowa Power of Engineers and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Moore is survived by five daughters, Patricia Kizzier of Moville, Shirley Murr of Kenesaw, NE, and Nancy Carlsen, Evelyn Moore-Shockley, and Cheryl Moore, all of Des Moines; four sons, Richard Moore of Mason City, Kenneth Moore of Des Moines, Bill Moore of Papillion, NE, and Paul Moore of Omaha, NE; three brothers, Edwin Moore of Platteville, WI, Raymond Moore of Knoxville and Lester Moore of Ames; two sisters, Priscilla Strohbehn of Reinbeck and Lucile Butcher of Des Moines; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions are requested to Mercy Hospice.
