Funeral services for Floyd Crozier, who died July 13, 1963 at Mesa, Ariz,. were
held July 18 from First Methodist church, Knoxville with Evans Arlington Chapel
in charge. Rev. Carl E. Wilson officiated with burial in Greenwood cemetery.
Casketbearers were Don Moore, Harper Dorsey, Ivan Miner, Carl Rees, Gerald Simmons
and Frank Mitchell.
Mrs. Elizabeth Elliott, organist, accompanied Lavinia Crozier, soloist. Mrs. Florence
Cronbaugh and Mrs. June Zeck assisted with the flowers. Floyd Marvin, son of J.R.
and Hallie (Sherman) Crozier was born Jan. 18, 1911 in Knoxville. He graduated from
Knoxville high school in 1929 and began farm ing with his father.
Feb. 21, 1931 he was united in marriage to Velma Janie Rowley at Sigourney and to
this union six children were born.
He was a life- time resident of Marion county, except for two years at Laurel and
the last six months in Mesa, Ariz.
For the past 13 years he has owned and operated the Shamrock Cafe and also drove
a school bus for four years. He was a member of the First Methodist church.
An infant daughter preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Velma; two sons, Keith of Grand Island, Nebr. and Bill of
Melcher; three daughters, Mrs. Ray (Donna) Meulpolder, Pella, Mrs. Ronald (Patricia)
Henning of Knoxville and Mrs. Perry (Caroline) Kline, Pella; his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Ray Crozier of Knoxville; 13 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Perl Wolcott,
Murray, Utah and Mrs. Chris Fath, Des Moines.
