Funeral services for Elnore Lena (Miller) Bingaman, 91, of Columbia, who died January 12, 1999 at the Pella Regional Health Center Sheltered Care Unit, were held January 15, 1999, at Bybee and Davis Funeral , Home in Knoxville.

Burial was at Columbia Cemetery. The Rev. Bob Ward officiated at the services. Music was provided by Mildred Brooks, the organist. Pallbearers were Garth Carruthers, Neil Carruthers, Gene Jenkins, Jon Miller, Craig Agan, and Al Bingaman.

Elnore was born June 25, 1907, in Knoxville, the daughter of Ray and Nellie Hays Miller. She was raised in Valley Junction and Knoxville and graduated from Knoxville, she worked as a clerk for several local businesses.

She was united in marriage to Donald Bingaman on April 17, 1944, in Burlington, The couple always made their home in Columbia. After the death of her husband, she moved to Knoxville in 1983, then to Pella in 1993. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a past Eastern Star member. She was active for many years in the Columbia United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, LaVonne.

She is survived by two sons, Phil Bingaman of West Des Moines, and Mike Bingaman of Ottumwa; a sister, Beulah Kating of Knoxville; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
