Edna “Ellen” (Robinson) Goode, 84, of Hartford, died Sunday, December 4, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
She has been cremated and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Ellen was born on June 6, 1921, in Knoxville, Iowa to John Eugene and Mildred Violet (Badgley) Robinson.
John was born on September 16, 1888, in Arnold, Custer County, Nebraska.
Mildred was born on December 17, 1887, in Nebraska.
Edna was united in marriage to Fred L. Goode in July of 1940, and he preceded her in death in 1982.
Ellen retired in 1983 from General Casualty of Wisconsin after 25 years. She was a big Cubs fan and enjoyed Iowa and Iowa State basketball.
Ellen is survived by a daughter, Judy (Bob) Hutchison of Hartford; a son, Jerry E. (Barbara) Goode of Libertyville, Iowa; and a sister Norma (James) Lake of Bettendorf, Iowa.
Ellen also had nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, and her first great-great-grandchild will be born in January 2006.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Charles Theodore Robinson, and Merlin O Robinson, and two other brothers, also sister, Betty Irene Oaks (born Robinson), and 1 other sister.
