Services for Dwain Hulgan, 57, who died Jan 5, 1984 at Knoxville Area Comm. Hospital, were held Jan 7 at the First United Methodist Church.
Evans-McCleery Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Interment was in Graceland Cemetery.

Rev. Wayne Hoelms, officated at the services. Music was provided by Jim Kidder, organist.
Pallbearers were Ed VandeKamp, Clay Barnett, Ed Overturf, Warren Conrad, Ron Sharr and Leland Robinson.
Honorary bearers were Danny Weldon, Garon Cady, Jimmy Nichols, Harley Shook, Harold Phillips, Sam Nichols, Arden Graves, and Gary Verwers.

Mr. Hulgan was born on May 9, 1926 in Knoxville, the son of Walter and Lorraine Wall Hulgan.
He attended Knoxville High School until entering the Navy in 1945.

On June 5, 1949, he married Mary Malone in Knoxville.

In 1982, he retired from the VA Medical Center Engineering Department with 38 years of service. He was a member of the VFW, Wisemen, and Sportsmans Club.
He was a Charter Member of the Knoxville Reserve Police Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Kenny of Knoxville; two daughters, Mrs. Steve (Nancy) Hatch of Knoxville and Mrs. Dale (Debra) Gries of Marshalltown; three
grandchildren;and one brother, Harold of Knoxville.

A memorial has been established to Knoxville Area Comm. Hospital.
