Funeral services for Doyle Rollstin, who died Feb. 1, 1971, following a one-car auto accident in Des Moines, were held Feb. 4 from the First Christian Church with Rev. William Travis officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery with military honors accorded by 184th Military Police Company, Iowa National Guard.
Evans Arlington Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Casket bearers were Jim Beaver, Charles Feagin Robert Haning, Jerry McMillen, Charlie Pearson and Dennis Stevens. Mrs. Lois Anderson was organist. Flowers were arranged by Fonda Laird, Mable May and Mable Vinson.
Doyle D., son of Cletus and Mildred Tucker Rollstin, was born May 24, 1932 in Knoxville where he spent his entire life. On July 3, 1952 he was united in marriage to Catherine Thompson.
He was employed by the VA Hospital for several years and was presently a Sergeant in the Iowa National Guard employed at Knoxville. He had served with the Guard for over 19 years.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Orient a I Lodge 61, AF&AM, and Marion County Shrine Club. His mother preceded him in death.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Rollstin his wife, son, Donald; and grandmother, Mrs. Ella Tucker.
